This update is long overdue. I had expected to be further along with the Bass Cannons, but due to a recent decision to redesign the outer enclosure, it has taken far longer than expected. I will have a number of them ready in time, however it will mostly be for advertising/demonstration purposes. Magority of the sales will not take place until after the con.

Anyway, here is the new and improved Bass Cannon! Let me know what you guys think!

It's been a busy couple of months but in the end it's all been worth it. Today my first prototype of the portable Bass Cannon is finished and ready to see the light of day! Now I know what you are thinking person who hasn't read the title, "What is this bass cannon for?" Well I'm glad you asked! This is for BronyCon 2015!

I've been working with a few suppliers to get custom production quality enclosures made as well as mass production of these little guys. This particular prototype is of an earlier less refined design but the hardware inside is what makes this thing awesome. Plug it into any audio source, pound that big red button, and watch as the lights flash to what you play! See video below.

When (or if) I get confirmation that I can get a booth for the convention, I'll give the OK to begin production so that we can get a large stock ready for August. I'll give updates on status, production, previews, and maybe even peeks into some of the other Con ideas I have in store over the coming months, so stay tuned!

 

So.... yeah, I fell really far behind on this project.  School happened... a lot.  But I'm back at it now and closer than ever!  I've received all circuit boards for the prototype, got the lithium batteries, modeled and 3D printed the parts, and the Plexiglas has arrived.  Now as one of the final steps, I'd like a little input on the name.  The name will be the main inspiration behind the emblem (created later) that will be laser etched onto it.

Cool words I've thought of are:
-Nimbus
-Ignite
-LUX
-Phantom
-Chroma
-Vibe
-Variant
-Prism
-Aura

Basically trying to think of names that would go with the multicolored light ring on the headphones.

So to you creative people out there (so all of you) it would be very helpful if you could give me your opinion on these, or even throw up some suggestions of your own.

So as some of you know, I am designing some headphones that I hope to sell in the future.  I have good news, and bad news about them.

The bad news is that several of my parts orders got mixed up so I got the wrong stuff...  That means it will be at least another month before I can get a set-up like what I originally planned.

The good news however is that I have enough parts to make a semi-complete prototype! So that's what I'm doing!
